Meet The Team

Tim is our Managing Director and started the company 16 years ago after many years in the industry as a quantity surveyor. Tim specialises in business development and growth and has an interest in contract/dispute resolution.

He enjoys the variety and dynamism of the job. Quantity surveying on paper is an analytical and mathematical job but there is so much more to it when you bring in the personalities in the industry and understand how much of the job relies on communication, negotiation and team work. Tim loves design and architecture and believes there is a real sense of satisfaction being part of a team that creates new buildings from scratch or breathing new life into an old one.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys watching live music, motorcycles, mountain biking, football and dog walks with his friends and family.

Richard is one of our long standing staff members, having been with CQS Solutions for almost 10 years. Richard originally trained as a bench joiner, but whilst at university decided to investigate applying for quantity surveying roles. He enjoys the variety of work the role brings and seeing the projects he is working on develop and become a reality. Outside of work, Richard enjoys playing the guitar.

Alwyn has been with CQS Solutions for 18 months but has worked with Bowen Consultants for over 19 years. Alwyn’s background is in estimation and surveying. He enjoys working with like-minded colleagues, meeting new people, and loves visiting construction sites. He is especially interested in historical projects. Alwyn’s hobbies and interests outside of work include football, rugby, cycling, walking, motorbikes, and looking after his animals on his small holding including dogs, goats, horses, ducks and chickens.

Adele has been with CQS Solutions for 8 years and has many years of experience working within the construction industry in roles such as PA to project managers or as a site secretary. She enjoys being involved with projects and finds seeing the final build really interesting, especially when based on site. There is so much detail that goes into it. Adele also works as a freelance makeup artist and Tropic Skincare ambassador, and enjoys running, walking her dog and spending quality time with her family.

Geoff has been with the company for 3 years and has over 40 years’ practical experience of procurement and managing the costs of building and civil engineering projects from inception to completion. Geoff always strives for accuracy in his work and would consider himself to be well organised with keen attention to detail. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, cars, DIY, going to National Trust properties and watching theatre performances.

Zoe joined our team towards the end of 2023 and has a multitude of experience including fit-out, refurbishment, restoration and new build projects. She enjoys working as part of the team and seeing a project transform from a drawing to a functional building. Zoe loves to travel in her spare time.

Jack has been with CQS Solutions for over 2 years but has worked in the construction industry since leaving school in a variety of roles. For Jack, one of the best things about working in the construction industry is that he can see how a project progresses from the initial stages all the way through to the finish. He also enjoys the new responsibilities of different projects and the fact that no two days are alike. Jack’s hobbies include golf, cars and Formula 1.

Sam has been with CQS Solutions for 8 months after working for other quantity surveying companies. Sam enjoys working with people from a variety of backgrounds and learning more about the different and constant changing ways of construction. His hobbies include football (he supports Wolves), Formula 1 and cars.
